The QUESTnet conference is an annual event aimed at network technologists and those ICT professionals who work closely with network technology. A key focus of the event is to provide an opportunity for delegates to develop their professional and technical knowledge and to gain an appreciation of the key strategic issues underpinning the development, deployment and maintenance of National and International telecommunications networks.

The QUESTnet 2010 conference will be held from Tuesday 6th to Friday 9th July 2010 and is hosted this year by Griffith University.

This year's conference theme is entitled 2010: the network makes contact

We have emerged from an era of innovations in voice, data and video, to one of convergence and transformation within networking and communications. Such development has not only changed but has impacted the manner in which business, education and research is conducted and how people and communities are connected. With the rollout of NBN, 2010 will become part of a decade that will be remembered for extensive enhancement to unified communications, messaging and collaboration underpinned by an extensive range of end user applications in the fields of science, medicine, education and social networking.

The QUESTnet 2010 conference will feature advanced hand-held technologies to allow delegates to actively engage in discourse with presenters and attendees across the respective streams. New technologies will also be trialed to enhance the social experience making the conference an enjoyable and informative experience.

A call for papers will be advised in January 2010 and speakers are encouraged from University, Vocational Education and Training, K12 Education, Research, Health, Government, Defence and Industry sectors. Scholarships are available to first time speakers from within the Education sector.
