Increasing Security of UNIX Information Services Abstract Internet Information Services are an integral part of today's computing society. People rely on these services for receiving and distributing information and data via the Internet. Information Servers are often the public face for companies on the Internet, and as such, are often the target of illegal activities by computer intruders. Due to this unwelcome attention, it is imperative that a high level of security is maintained on all Information Servers. This document describes some techniques that help reduce the impact in the event an illegal intrusion occurs.
